The Biden administration is used to friendly coverage from an adoring press corps.
But tough questions send the administration into a meltdown.
And now Jen Psaki gave one mind-blowing answer to a question from Fox News.
Joe Biden’s repeatedly lied that the new election integrity law in Georgia ends early voting hours at 5p.m.when in fact the legislation allows counties to extend early voting hours to 7 p.m. and keeps voting on Election Day open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“What I’m worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is. It’s sick. It’s sick … deciding that you’re going to end voting at five o’clock when working people are just getting off work,” Joe Biden said at a March 25 news conference.
That was bad enough, but could be excused as Biden misspeaking when talking off the cuff.
But the administration proved it was committed to the lie when the next day, a written statement in Biden’s name repeated the falsehood.
“Among the outrageous parts of this new state law, it ends voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over,” the statement read.
The lie was so egregious that the Washington Post’s left-wing fact checkers were forced to award Biden four Pinocchios.
During a recent White House press briefing, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked press secretary Jen Psaki if Biden would stop telling these lies about the Georgia election integrity law.
“Is the president going to change the way that he talks about the new Georgia voting law because … he said the law would end voting at 5:00 when working people are just getting off, and he said it would end voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over,” Doocy stated. “The Washington Post gave that claim four Pinocchios because that part of the law gives counties the option to extend voting hours. So, I’m just curious if the president is going to change the way that he’s talking about this.”
Psaki would not budge and spread more misinformation about the bill making it harder to vote simply by requiring identification when requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.
But that did not satisfy Doocy who asked for an answer to his question about if Biden would stop lying about the Georgia law.
“But the thing he said has been determined by election law experts to be not true, so I’m just curious if he’s going to stop saying it,” Doocy asked.
Amazingly, Psaki once again refused to commit to telling the American people that Joe Biden would stop lying about the Georgia election integrity bill.
“Well, again, I think we can — the fact checkers will also tell you that this bill does not make it easier for people across the state of Georgia to vote, and that’s where he has concern,” Psaki stated.
