Joe Biden Gave Facebook a Dirty Little Hint at What He Wants to Happen Next

Facebook just decided to keep Donald Trump off their platform.

But according to Democrats they haven’t gone far enough.

Joe Biden gave Facebook a dirty little hint at what he wants to happen next.

Facebook’s Oversight Board decided on Wednesday that Facebook had been correct to ban former President Trump from their platform on January 7, 2021.

“However,” the board said in its statement release,“It was not appropriate for Facebook to impose the indeterminate and standardless penalty of indefinite suspension. Facebook’s normal penalties include removing the violating content, imposing a time-bound period of suspension, or permanently disabling the page and account.”

Facebook and Twitter came together to silence former President Donald Trump even though they couldn’t find a clear way in which he violated their policies because they didn’t like what he was saying.

Worse still is the fact that current President Joe Biden is openly encouraging social media platforms to silence his rival.

On Wednesday,White House press secretary Jen Psaki wouldn’t directly answer the question on whether Biden supported social media companies’ ongoing ban of Trump from their platforms.

Instead she just said that social media companies have the “responsibility” to block certain content.

“His view is that there is more that needs to be done to ensure that this type of misinformation, disinformation, damaging, sometimes life-threatening information is not going out to the American public,” she said.

Psaki stressed that this was partially important in terms of coronavirus information and political elections.

“The president’s view is that the major platforms have a responsibility related to the health and safety of all Americans, to stop amplifying untrustworthy content, disinformation, and misinformation, especially related to COVID-19, vaccinations, and elections,” she said.

When asked about First Amendment concerns,Psaki suggested it did not apply to online “misinformation.”

“Well look, I think we are, of course, a believer in First Amendment rights,” she said. “I think what the decisions are that the social media platforms need to make is how they address the disinformation, misinformation, especially related to life-threatening issues, like COVID-19 and vaccinations that continue to proliferate on their platforms.”

Social media has in many ways become the town square of the modern age where important debates are happening.

Some Democrats are trying to get around the First Amendment by having Facebook, Twitter and Google do their dirty work for them and censor conservative voices.

During the campaign, Facebook and Twitter colluded together to silence reports of Hunter Biden’s emails that came from an abandoned laptop that detailed the money he was receiving from foreign governments and indicated that Joe Biden was getting part of the profits.
